Qualifications

Our Polar Qualifications (PQs) are split into two sections; Foundation Qualifications and Advanced Endorsements and Qualifications. Foundation PQs are the building blocks of minimum competency skill areas required to become a status Polar Guide (minimum 5 PQs) and eventually Senior Polar Guide (all foundation PQs and a portfolio of advanced endorsements and qualifications). Many of the foundation PQs are prerequisites for moving onto advanced endorsements or higher-level awards. This information can best be visually seen in our Qualifications Framework.
